Drake Lacrosse will host Iowa State this Friday (10/29) at Drake Stadium. The game is schedule to start at 6:30. This is the first meeting between the Cyclones and Bulldogs outside of the CILA box league.
This will probably be the last field lacrosse event for either team before the spring. As always, admission to the game is free.

Growing out of the the inaugural CILA Box Lacrosse League, Drake University now has its first ever field lacrose team!  Organized by Ben Shoff, the Bulldogs have been given official approval and recognition by the University.  The Bulldogs are playing in various tournaments this year and are considering joining either the Great Lakes Lacrosse League or the Mens Collegiate Lacrosse Association next season.

As a Drake alum and a lacrosse fan, I am excited by Shoff's efforts.  The Central Iowa Lacrosse Association will do everything possible to help the Bulldogs build and strengthen the club.  Current or future Drake students interested in playing lacrosse and anyone interested in helping the club should contact Shoff using the form below.

The addition of the Drake Lacrosse Club strengthens the local lacrosse scene and provides more opportunities for local players to continue laxing after high school.  The future of lax in Central Iowa just got a little brighter.
